Why is Flexible Work still Hard to Find

Posted by Anuradha on Apr 30, 2008 at 5:02 PM
There is no question that women have made lots of progress in the workforce.  But it's still hard for women to work flexible hours or work part-time when they have children especially in corporate america.  So women are forced to give up their jobs/careers and many have spent years of education and investment getting to this point---they have to take lesser paying jobs or switch careers altogether so they do not have to sacrifice the needs of their children/families.  Is this the choice we have to make as working mothers? Is this equality?
